Be Wound Aware campaign continues to reach Australians nationwide

Australians are being reminded that even small wounds can turn into serious health problems if they're not cared for properly, thanks to the ongoing Be Wound Aware consumer campaign. Be Wound Aware is a national initiative designed to help people better understand how to prevent wounds, recognise when something isn't healing properly, and know when to seek help. Since the success of Wound Awareness Week, the campaign has continued to grow, reaching Australians through social media, television, shopping centres and trusted health voices. Minor wounds can cause major harmYou may have seen Be Wound Aware messages while visiting Westfield or Stockland shopping centres across Australia. The campaign reached impressive audiences nationwide and included a clear call to action, directing Australians to bewoundaware.org for easy-to-understand information and practical wound care resources.

These ads focused on the importance of early wound care and seeking advice if a wound isn't healing as expected. In just one week, the metro TV campaign reached more than 3.4 million Australians, helping bring wound care into everyday conversations. Partnering with trusted health voicesFor the first time, the campaign partnered with respected health professionals on social media to help spread the message. Doctor Preeya Alexander and Nurse Hamish Briggs shared their professional knowledge and personal insights, helping to explain why early wound care matters and what can happen when wounds are ignored. Their content has been viewed tens of thousands of times, helping Be Wound Aware connect with new and diverse audiences online.
